Vax pioneers the next generation of cordless vacuums

The launch of the Vax Blade cordless vacuum cleaner signalled a shift change in UK floorcare innovations. Marking the next generation of cordless vacuums, designed specifically to meet changing consumer needs, Vax was eager to showcase the capabilities of the new Blade vac and maximise exposure around its launch.

In response, Whistle organised a high profile national consumer media event to introduce Vax Blade to the market. The drop-in event was held at the prestigious Good Housekeeping Institute in Soho and included product displays and demos by Vax’s team of experts. Branded goody bags were available to take away, including a glossy media pack and, as a thank you, a complimentary Vax Blade was delivered to media attendees after the event.

In total, 40 national journalists and influencers, including Lynsey Crombie from Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners and Aggie MacKenzie from How Clean Is Your House?, attended the event with an average dwell time of 32 minutes. Over 50 pieces of national home interest media coverage were generated post-launch with a potential reach of 7m consumers.
