Account Manager
Birmingham-based (hybrid working)
Overall Description
Whistle PR is growing – and we’re looking for a account manager to grow with us. Your role will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of accounts under the direction of the account director.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the account director to formulate and manage profitable PR and social media programmes on behalf of clients in line with the agreed strategy
- Act as the first point of contact for clients
- Draft press material and social media content on behalf of clients
- Develop and maintain strong media contacts within the target media identified
- Prepare all required documentation for client meetings including agendas, status reports, evaluation reports and contact reports
- Establish and maintain effective evaluation methods tailored to objectives and ensure regular reporting to clients
- Work with the AD to ensure client KPIs are met and high levels of client satisfaction are maintained
- Assist in the preparation of creds documents and work as part of a team on new business pitches
- Keep abreast of industry developments
- Adhere to all company processes and procedures
Skills and Attributes
- Understanding of PR and social media
- Track record in delivering effective PR and social media campaigns
- Strong writing skills
- Creative flair
- Understanding of the media – print, broadcast, online and social
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Confident presenter
- Enthusiasm and drive
- Ability to inspire confidence, credibility and trust
- Computer literacy
