Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation (GDHV) wanted to further cement its position as a leading designer and manufacturer of sustainable, efficient and innovative H&V products amongst B2B audiences, while making its core consumer brands – Dimplex, Valor and Xpelair – relevant and desirable to a younger demographic.
In response, Whistle PR developed an external communications strategy that supported growing the business’ share of voice in Tier 1 trade and consumer media. The 12 month plan included a robust programme of B2B and B2C media relations activity, editor briefings, creative mailers and media packs, news jacking, a thought leadership strategy, NPD support, case studies and awards. Activity directly linked back to GDHV’s overarching business objectives and supported the communications brief to build brand awareness.
Over a 12 month period, the programme delivered month in, month out ‘best in industry’ results, generating 186 pieces of media coverage, 23 articles in national consumer media, 33 bylined features and a combined reach of 118 million.
