Birmingham-based communications consultancy Whistle PR has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Nichola Lund-Yates in a newly created head of digital role.
Nichola will head-up the agency’s existing organic and paid social offering as well as focusing on the expansion of Whistle’s digital marketing services to include wider digital strategy, project management, web content, CRM and SEO.
Nichola has over a decade of digital marketing experience, using creativity and innovative thinking to help organisations develop effective digital strategies that meet specific goals. Sector experience includes higher education, major e-commerce and healthcare. Nichola will play a key role on Whistle’s senior leadership team of MD Sarah Kent, associate director Hayley Longdin and senior account director and head of ESG communications Amy Ahmed-Dolphin.
Sarah Kent comments: “We have an incredibly strong senior leadership team who are driving some ambitious expansion plans for Whistle over the next five years. Part of that is responding to market changes and client demand. We believe strongly that the management of an organisation’s reputation online should be aligned to its overall communications strategy. Nic is an experienced digital marketer, a trusted consultant and a strategic thinker. Her appointment will enable us to offer an integrated digital communications package to current and future clients.”
Commenting on her new position, Nichola says: “I am very excited to be joining the team at Whistle, not only to be working alongside Sarah and the rest of the SLT, but to be developing the digital side of the business. I am looking forward to bringing my experience and knowledge to this role and helping push forward with our next stage of growth”.
